The Linger Longer story began in the late 1800s with two cousins: Mercer Reynolds, Sr. and James Madison Reynolds. By the turn of the century, Mercer moved to Tennessee to pursue business interests, while James stayed in Georgia and tended to the land. The family continued to acquire acreage and in the 1920s the family built their beloved hunting and fishing lodge which they called "Linger Longer".
Best known for Reynolds Plantation on Lake Oconee, the community is exemplary of the family's devotion to leaving each area better than they found it. Following Reynolds family tradition, Linger Longer Homes is dedicated to building homes that enhance life and transform a buyer's vision into a legacy that will last for generations.
