Construction Process

If you have ever built a new home, you know how time-consuming, unpredictable and frustrating the undertaking can be. Linger Longer Homes has isolated the tasks required to build a new home, has streamlined the process, and has the experienced staff and Trade Partners to make building your new home a wonderful experience.

The Linger Longer Homes management team brings to you over 75 years experience in the homebuilding business. Our team members use their knowledge to specialize in much more than building a home, they are focused on building individual lifestyles.

Your home will be built on a fixed price contract and not on a cost-plus basis, using this approach you are able to decide on a base floorplan and then you decide what will be needed to transform our plan into your home.

Building Process

There are many steps in building your new home; our goal is to walk you through the process every step of the way. This is how we start:

  • You focus on selecting the community and lot where you would like to create your new home
  • You then sit down with our in-house designers to share your comments and we develop a new plan to meet your needs
  • While we develop the plan, you are invited to browse our Design Studio and work with our design consultants to select the finishes and textures that will begin to transfer our plan into your home
  • We prepare a site recommendation for you based on the best use of the site, plan and vistas
  • You will review and approve the final costs and selections involved in building your new home
  • During construction of your home, we will ask for your participation in four walkthroughs to help us demonstrate your home's construction to ensure the home is built to your satisfaction
  • You will attend a final Homeowner Orientation prior to closing on your new home where we will have an opportunity to demonstrate the functionality of your new home to you
  • You will close on your new home and become a member of a long list of proud homeowners who have come to call Reynolds home.
